We will hold an online discussion on Wednesday, October 29 from 4-5 pm.

This wiki is only open to those who sign up for the book club and is monitored by the Children’s librarian.

Read-aloud Book Club for Rising 1st and 2nd Graders

Join us on Wednesday, August 13

from 4 -5 pm in the craft room.

We will be reading Library Mouse by Daniel Kirk.

Read-Aloud Book Club for Rising 3rd and 4th Graders!

Henry’s Freedom Box: A True Story from the Underground Railroad by Ellen Levine (2007).

In this powerful story, Levine weaves together the extraordinary events in the life of Henry "Box" Brown, who as a young boy hid in a wooden crate in one of the most amazing escapes using the Underground Railroad.

Read Aloud Book Club for Rising 1st and 2nd Graders!!

Kerley, Barbara (2001). The Dinosaurs of Waterhouse Hawkins.

We will read Stuart's Cape by Sara Pennypacker (56 pages), do fun activities, and have a discussion about each chapter. You do not have to read the book ahead of time as we will be reading a chapter (or two) every week.
